New iOS 6.1 has been out for a few days now and some things have been improved by Apple in the area of maps, lock screen music player as well as the LTE update that seems to be the main driver for the update.
I was quick to update my phone as soon as I saw the update because I was hoping that Apple would have made improvements to the battery consumption issue that came with iOS 6.02. I have not seen any change in the rate of recharge based on use but I have noticed something else.
This has to do with the Do Not Disturb function. When I activate the mode and it is activated, when I get up in the morning, I get one form of SIM card failure or the other. I did not have this problem before now but it’s something that is of interest.
Update: The new update 6.1.2 seems to have dealt with the issue
